Reviews

While the majority of the novel deals with Steve’s sexcapades, he dedicates ample time to self-reflection, evaluating his relationships, and questioning societal norms. This elevated the writing by providing more substance and prompting reflection from the reader. For those who enjoy erotic fiction but seek more dimension, Steve Nunn’s book is a worthy choice. It is a journey of discovery and transformation.’

I like it… first of the kind book I ever read… I like the way you mastered the word so it is easy to read… interesting stories and characters… great revelation of human cravings… a great book!’ – V

You will be aroused and more so you will redefine  the sexual relationship.  At its core, it’s a self exploration of desire, where sex is not stigma but something to enjoy — whether between long-term lovers, a fleeting connection with a masseuse, or an unexpected spark with strippers who have personalities as vivid as the girl next to your door.

What makes the book stand out is its honest embrace of pleasure as part of life’s richness. The narrative challenges readers to rethink long-held ideas about monogamy, casual intimacy, and the so-called boundaries between respectability and erotic freedom.

For readers open to provocative storytelling that treats sexuality as both natural and nuanced, The Habit is a bold and satisfying journey.

I couldn’t put the book down. When I finished it, I read it all over again. The only book I’ve ever done that with.’ – Peter

Whenever I need a pick-me-up, I read The Habit. It’s my escape from all the pressures of the world.’ – Phil

Very hot story. The tantra chapter was incredibly sexy and interesting. I never knew what tantra was until then. I learn something new.’ – Vi

My favourite part was the tantra experience. My wife and I practice tantra and loved how well you described the experience, that surfing-the-wave-of-bliss feeling that lasts for days, the connection with each other, the whole-of-body sensation and the importance of balance in all chakras. Genius.’ – P

I related to this book on so many levels. The story is raw and bares all, exploring the pain, arguments, temptations and sexual dynamics of relationships. He explores his own weaknesses and addictions through profound self-reflection through a life time of justifying debauchery. I also loved his reflections on society and sexual expectations through the ages. The story about Empress Wu (China’s only female emperor) & how she met her sexual needs was hilarious and fascinating. Marriage, mistresses, harems, hookers. He contemplates them all in his life, their place in history and their relevance in today’s world. The story was explicit, raw, sexy, funny, emotional and at times melancholic. It challenged my own views on relationships, fidelity and morality. Worth the read.’
